One more border to go!!!

September 15, 2010

I started the lap quilt
with that embroidered piece.
Added the first border.
Well, not so much of a border
since it measures some 28cm.
So far so good.
I've already cut the next border,
this time a thin 6cm strip.

I also started a little blue cardie.
(I had been missing my knitting)

I saved all the baby size patterns I made, so
now I can just knit by them, instead of
reading patterns.

The embroidery I was making
is almost ready and I can't wait to use it
as a center piece for a lap quilt.

As usually, the fun part is picking the fabrics for it.

I wanted something soft and feminine
(dah... roses), but not too girly.

As you can see, almost all fabrics
are pretty traditional, but the modern swirls
will give it the necessary twist!
