My Sunbonnet Sue is ready.

I don't know if I will be making the whole quilt,

but I really enjoyed appliqueing this square.

Minha Sunbonnet está pronta. Apesar do quilt da capa ser lindo, não sei se vou me aventurar a fazer um inteiro, 
mas adorei fazer esse aplique.

I've been wanting to try

a Sunbonnet  for a long time.

Since I'm learning emipirically how to applique,

I've been struggling a lot.

Freezer paper, basting or not,

kinds of thread,

which part goes first... and so on...

This publication has helped me a lot.

My first attempt is here.

there's something very soothing

about hand stitching...
